The Main Window
Header
- Manage Database… — opens the device/instrument/input configuration window. See Adding a Device.
- Reload Config from Database — pushes any database changes out to connected hardware without restarting SimLinkHub.
- Refresh from Simulator — re-reads current sim values immediately, useful right after loading a flight.
Current aircraft
Shows the aircraft SimLinkHub currently has loaded from MSFS — title, ATC type, model, and engine type. Some device behaviour (which SimVars are watched) can be aircraft-specific.
Connection status
Two indicators:
- Simulator — connected to MSFS 2024 via SimConnect.
- CAN Bridge — the USB-CDC link to your CAN bus is open and healthy.
Both need to be green for hardware to actually sync with the sim.
Live device panels
Each connected device gets its own live-updating panel in the main window — current frequencies for the PRD-225, current lever positions for the throttle quadrant, and so on — so you can see at a glance that everything's in sync without touching the hardware.
